So when does summer vacation begin?!

Yep, I had to go back to work this week and I am already ready for Summer Vacation! It was so hard to leave my little babies after being home for so long! I don't care what anyone says--being a stay-at-home-mom is so much fun! It is the hardest job on planet Earth though! :) Poor Lizzie has been missing her play dates with Baby G and Loggy (her pet name for Garrett and Logan-ha ha). Luckily her Grammy and Gram-pa are here from Michigan to keep her entertained so I am sure she is having a blast. Heck she probably doesn't even notice I am gone everyday! It actually wasn't too hard to leave her because I knew she would be just fine but oh man, leaving Cam-man--that was tough--it felt like my heart was being ripped out of my chest. I just have to keep reminding myself that there are only 5 more weeks until Summer Vacation.

Today Ron decided to stop coaching, so as of today he is no longer a coach. He will stay at the school next year as a history teacher. I feel bad for him, I know he loves basketball and I just hope he doesn't regret his decision. It is hard to work for someone who has a complete lack of respect for others. It has been hard for me to sit quietly and watch someone treat my husband that way! I hope eventually he will find his way back to coaching basketball because I know that is his passion but his heart just was not into the football part of it all.

4s

1. Choose the 4th folder in which you store pictures in your computer.2. Choose the 4th picture.3. Explain that picture.4. Tag 4 people.

This was a picture from our first weekend trip taken in Ocean Isle, S.C. back in 2006. Notice my black eye--I got that shinner from a softball game two weeks before the trip. The beach was beautiful and it was my first visit to the Atlantic Ocean. Wow, that seems like ages ago now!
Now 4 people:
1. Susan
2. Kelsie
3. Kendall

Shop 'til you drop!

Well it is offically my last week as a stay-at-home-mom! :( I had back to work next Monday. The kids and I have had a lot of fun together. We have been busy trying to keep ourselves entertained as much as possible. Last week we went to see the Easter Bunny and do a little shopping with 2 other stay-at-home mom's and 1 special nana. We had a ton of fun. We must have been shopping really heard though! While we were shopping for shoes we looked up and ALL 4 of the kids were sound asleep! Aren't they adorable!

Info that may be useful

So Ron sent this email to me and I dont know if it is true or not but I would rather be a little cautious than sorry. I am posting the email here.

Cancer Update from Johns Hopkins
Bottled water in your car is very dangerous! On the Ellen show, Sheryl Crow said this is what caused her breast cancer. It has been identified as the most common cause of the high levels of dioxin in breast cancer tissue. Sheryl Crow's oncologist told her: women should not drink bottled water that has been left in a car. The heat reacts with the chemicals in the plastic of the bottle which releases dioxin into the water. Dioxin is a toxin increasingly found in breast cancer tissue. So please be careful and do not drink bottled water that has been left in a car. Pass this on to all the women in your life. This information is the kind we need to know that just might save us! Use a stainless steel canteen or a glass bottle instead of plastic! LET EVERYONE WHO HAS A WIFE / GIRLFRIEND / DAUGHTER KNOW PLEASE! This information is also being circulated at Walter Reed Army Medical Center No plastic containers in microwave. No water bottles in freezer No plastic wrap in microwave. A dioxin chemical causes cancer, especially breast cancer. Dioxins are highly poisonous to the cells of our bodies. Don't freeze your plastic bottles with water in them as this releases dioxins from the plastic. Recently, Edward Fujimoto, Wellness Program Manager at Castle Hospital , was on a TV program to explain this health hazard. He talked about dioxins and how bad they are for us. He said that we should not be heating our food in the microwave using plastic containers... This especially applies to foods that contain fat. He said that the combination of fat, high heat,=2 0and plastic releases dioxin into the food and ultimately into the cells of the body... Instead, he recommends using glass, such as Corning Ware, Pyrex or ceramic containers for heating food... You get the same results, only without the dioxin . So such things as TV dinners, instant Ramon and soups, etc., should be removed from the container and heated in something else. Paper isn't bad but you don't know what is in the paper. It's just safer to use tempered glass, Corning Ware, etc. He reminded us that a while ago some of the fast food restaurants moved away from the foam containers to paper. The dioxin problem is one of the reasons... Also, he pointed out that plastic wrap, such as Saran wrap, is just as dangerous when placed over foods to be cooked in microwave. As the food is nuked, the high heat causes poisonous toxins to actually melt out of the plastic wrap and drip into the food. Cover food with a paper towel instead. This is an article that should be sent to anyone important in your life!

Confessions

Lately I have been frustrated and tense...just ask Ron! Of course having two kids is hard, why would I have ever thought any different. Of course marriage is work, for some reason I must have thought it was just one long date. Of course life throws you curve balls, why would I ever think we were immune to them? It is amazing how God can bring you back on your knees so quickly. It is amazing how when you really listen to God you realize that you aren't living quite the way He wants and expects you to live as a follower. I realize it is time to change my outlook on life. I am truly thankful that God has blessed us with two healthy, beautiful children. It is more than I could have ever hoped or dreamed for. I am thankful for my wonderful husband...he really is the best husband in the world. You see it is easy to be thankful for those things but the true test is being thankful even in the midst of curve balls or trials. This week I have seen the strength of a friend, a strength beyond all understanding, a strength that only comes from a full reliance on God. I have seen my mom, faced with the possibility of cancer, have such a confidence that everything will be fine no matter the outcome. I am thankful for these examples of Christ-like faith in the lives of people around me but above all I am thankful that we have a God who is big enough to allow us to ask "why" and loving enough to walk us through the pain that we sometimes face in life. Thank you God for all your blessings.
